Royal Trau Quy Boutique Hotel

Royal Hotel has been the highlight of my time in Hanoi so far. It's an older building, but inside everything, including the rooms, is modernized and very clean. We got a balcony room with a stocked mini bar, a comfortable king bed, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and scalding hot water. The towels and linens smelled like Madagascar Vanilla bean. Soon after check-in, staff brought us fresh fruit, which was a lovely way to settle in after a long, stressful travel day. The bell hops and counter staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Late at night, we had no paper money, so the bell boy walked with me to the ATM. I hadn't asked him to, but he kept a little distance to make sure I wasn't accosted or mugged. It was very late, and that particular street was poorly lit. Everyone in the surrounding, very local neighborhood was nice and hospitable. The nearby pool halls are good for hours of entertainment, and anything you need can be delivered by grab in minutes. We arrived in Hanoi late and couldn't get into our AirBNB reservation, so we booked a room here at the last minute. We weren't disappointed. The service and accommodations were beyond what you could ask for. I had such a good stay that next time I'm in Saigon I'll book this place for my whole visit.
