The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms are a good size. Cancelling the remaining nights was no problem. But the place looked much better on the website than it was in person, and for the price we paid it was nowhere near good value. We booked seven nights but left after three. First we had to change rooms because of an odor we couldn’t tolerate. Room 2 wasn’t much better. Both air conditioners were noisy and had limited controls. The mattresses were extremely hard, leaving us with stiff backs each morning. The pool area is tiny, with three loungers, one missing its padding, and even four people make it crowded. We didn’t try the steam room or sauna because it was tiny and smelled of body odor. The basement gym was always warm, had no air conditioning, and only one of its three wall fans worked. The treadmills didn’t work either. When I reported it, I was told they needed to be plugged in, as if I hadn’t checked that. We expected more, but the experience fell far short.

The pool, hot tub, and steam room were clean and enjoyable, and the villa itself is beautiful. One of the women working there was incredibly sweet and made us feel welcome. Cleanliness in the room was average, about 3 out of 5, and there were some bugs that better upkeep could address. Our experience was spoiled by the night security guard. He was rude and didn’t seem to understand English well. Even after I showed my passport, he demanded more ID without explaining what he needed, so I’m not sure what else he expected. We’re a family, but there were only two towels in the villa. When we asked for more, he refused, which was frustrating and unacceptable. Without that rude guard, I’d gladly rate the villa 5 out of 5.

The pool was okay. The rest of our final night in Vietnam was a complete disappointment. After putting up with bad rooms through the trip, we paid more than usual hoping for a good hotel with a pool where we could relax before leaving. Instead, we got what felt like a staff room, a semi-basement under the elevator with no proper window. We had been promised a room with a window, but ours was near the elevator and looked onto walls, with no light or air. Mosquitoes had settled in the stuffy room. The kitchen was full of cockroaches and bugs that scattered from under things on the counter. Insect poison left a strong chemical smell that gave us headaches. Since staff lived on the ground floor, we could hear their conversations, TV, and movement all night. After we complained, the host gave us a 100,000 VND refund through the security guard. It was laughable, but we didn’t want to argue more. At 30 euros a night, it was a joke. We’d stayed in much better rooms for 15 euros. Update: Did Agoda remove my comment? Is it really considered normal for a hotel to rent a room that doesn’t match its description, and for me to have no right to report it? We booked a luxury suite and got a semi-basement under the elevator with one bathroom window that filled with cigarette smoke from the guard at the entrance, at a luxury-room price. I’m attaching a photo of the room and the “view” from the window. Update 2: The Hotel keeps insisting that it’s perfectly normal to sell false Photos of the room guests are meant to pay for. Dear Hotel Hosts, a room with a window and a room without one are not the same. I don’t care about the interior. I need the WINDOW that’s clearly visible in the Photo. Keep that in mind. Window means Window. You may not care, but the customer might.

The area is local and not too busy, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It’s not far from D1. The rooms are okay, and the staff are very polite.

The guard slept all night with the hotel gate open, so there was no real security. The pool looked nice, but its tiles were deteriorating and the coating was peeling off, leaving them very sharp. Our child cut his foot on them twice. There was a real cockroach infestation. We killed at least 40 of all sizes during our stay and told the hotel right away. All they did was spray poison in the room, which we then had to breathe. It didn’t solve anything, and we saw cockroaches every day. When we left, we even found some in our luggage. By far the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in.
