A25 Hotel - 14 Pho Duc Chinh

The Lux room was spacious, and the bathroom was well designed. It had all the toiletries and extras, including hair bands, shaving kits and a comb. Receptionist Anh Tai did a great job. He was really nice and helped with everything, and communication was easy because his English is very good.

We weren’t told about the construction next door when we booked, even though it had been going on for months and was disruptive every day from 08:00 to 18:00. They even said it wouldn’t happen on Sunday, but it did. The staff eventually moved us to another hotel, though it wasn’t nearly as good a spec as this one. Customers should be told about the ongoing noise when booking and given the option to move if needed. They refused to refund or compensate us, even though basically 2 full days of our week in Saigon were wasted.

EDIT: I realized the noise seemed to come from nearby buildings that the hotel has nothing to do with, so I changed my rating. For the first week of my couple of weeks here, everything was great. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was nice. There were a few minor air-conditioning condensation leaks, but they were fixed quickly and weren’t a big deal. Then loud drilling started somewhere on the upper floors every morning around 8 AM. With a different time zone to adjust to, it was hard to be woken up then after going to bed late. I felt exhausted during the day. Otherwise, everything was great, thank you! :)

The venue would otherwise have been satisfactory, but staff noise was disruptive. They worked and talked loudly through the night, showing total disregard for customers.
