Anpha Hotel

We got good value for what we paid, and breakfast had a nice range of options. The main attractions are all walkable from the hotel. The staff were kind and helpful, especially John, who helped arrange our transportation.

I found this place overrated. I was charged 500,000 VND for arriving just a couple of hours early, which felt like they were trying to get as much as possible from guests. The entrance and shower both seemed unsafe, like someone could have an accident. Wi-Fi only worked off and on. There are plenty of nearby hotels that are nicer and better value.

We slept well on a very comfortable bed, and the fridge was nice and cold. Check-in was friendly, and the location is great. The room had no soundproofing, though, so street and hallway noise kept coming through, and we were woken early every morning even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign up. Wi-Fi was mostly okay but dropped now and then. The bath and shower arrangement was also awkward to use.

•••PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF STAYING HERE••• After our long flight we were exhausted. At check-in, the card we were handed opened the door to a different room, and we left our luggage there. We should have noticed, but why would a key card open a random room? It made us question how safe the place was. They then took us to the room we had originally booked. I felt relieved until I saw hair left in the bathroom by previous guests and smelled a really bad odor. The AC didn't work, even though it was 35 degrees outside. At reception, I was told they could move us. That made three dirty rooms in an hour. The following day, they wanted us to move again. We couldn't stay any longer, so they refunded 95% of what I paid. I left without even getting an apology. Again, please don't make the mistake of going there. You'll regret it.
