Apartments in District 2-The Sun Avenue

The living spaces and apartments are comfortable, and there are lots of delicious restaurants nearby.

There are some good things here: it’s a quiet area, except for apartments facing the main road, which are VERY noisy. Most apartments have great views, there’s a pool, and you’re close enough to the city that it doesn’t feel too cut off. But the problems made living here a bad experience. My water was shut off twice over claimed unpaid management fees, even though I’d called well in advance to say I had paid. Before the first shutoff, I contacted management several times to prevent it, and they explicitly told me it was sorted. When I angrily called about it, the person on the phone shut my water off again for no apparent reason. It felt like retaliation because I was upset. During the day, the parking area is an embarrassing mess of scooters because some floors are used as offices. The lifts are often out of order, and there are occasional power cuts. There’s also a high chance of getting noisy, inconsiderate neighbors. I don’t accept the “this is Vietnam” argument as an excuse for disrespect. I’ve had people sit with their apartment door wide open, playing movies at maximum volume so the noise blasts across the whole floor. It’s happened more than once.

Sun Avenue is overpriced garbage. I’ve lived there a long time, and the apartment quality has gone downhill in just a few years. Of the four elevators, only one or two are working, and I wait 10-15 minutes for one every day. They’ve been broken for over a month, and management doesn’t seem to care, as long as the monthly fee is paid on time. The gym equipment keeps breaking, and they never seem to fix it. Many of the good machines are no longer on the gym floor. You couldn’t pay me enough to stay. I’m glad to be moving out of this crap apartment to Vinhomes Grand Park in Quan 9. It costs only half what I pay at Sun Avenue, and the apartment is 100 times better, cleaner, and has better amenities.

The apartments are pretty nice and the area is nice too, but trucks make so much noise all night. I never slept.
