Binh Quoi 2 Resort

The place looks good, but the fried rice was the worst I've ever had.

The coffee shop isn't actually over the river, which may disappoint you if that's where you hoped to sit. It's in the middle of the property, surrounded by pretty ponds and lilies, so it's still a lovely setting. The facility itself is great, and the rooms are pretty cool: they're built on stilts over the river, with bridges connecting them.

We found this place through Google as a tourist attraction, because the houses over the water looked interesting. It turned out to be a hotel with a really nice concept. Since we’d come all that way, we decided to take a few pictures. Then a staff member waved us off and told us, “you should leave, it’s private territory!!!” There was no “please” or “sorry.” I felt like a thief even though I hadn’t done anything wrong. I’d strongly suggest teaching staff to speak politely. A brief explanation could have changed the whole experience.

We had a balcony off our room on the river, and watching the sunset from there was lovely. The restaurant served delicious food with great service. Its artistic decor made the whole weekend feel special.
