We arrived without any DONG exchanged, since it was our first day in the country, but getting to the hotel on foot was easy. It’s within walking distance of the airport, and the location is a good choice for newcomers to Ho Chi Minh City. The rooms are spacious, the staff are polite and friendly, and the area felt safe for a woman or a family. I’d recommend it.

We only needed a place for our first night after arriving late, and Camila Airport Hotel was just right. The rooms were clean and comfortable for the price, and the staff we met were courteous, quick to respond, and genuinely helpful. It’s close to the airport, with car service available for a very reasonable price, which made getting in late much less stressful. We had to book at the last minute after our original hotel cancelled a few hours before the trip, and this turned out to be a reliable, practical choice, especially for groups or late arrivals. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and the area feels safe. The price is reasonable, with a roomy reception and an efficient, courteous receptionist. Our room and bathroom were both spacious, clean, tidy, and free of smells. The bed and pillows were comfortable. In the room there was a hair dryer, kettle, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi TV, air conditioning, hot shower, and toiletries including hand and liquid soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, cotton buds, and a shaver. They also provided two bottles of water, two coffee sachets, and two tea bags. We stayed in Room 402, which faced the main road and had traffic noise. Sound carried clearly through the thin door and walls, including hallway noise. Around 7 am, we could hear housekeeping or guests dragging chairs and tables and banging doors in nearby or upstairs rooms. The bathroom drain was partly blocked, so shower water built up and overflowed onto the bathroom and toilet floor, more the longer we showered. The curtain wasn’t wide or thick enough to keep the room dark in the morning, which could bother anyone hoping to sleep in.

The location was the best part for us. It’s about a 10 minute ride to and from the airport, with lots of restaurants and other places nearby. There’s a diner next door and a coffee shop across the road for a quick bite or a break, and both have great food and exotic coffee. The staff also kept our luggage for free on our last day while we did more activities before heading to the airport. I’d recommend it for someone on a low budget. We stayed from Jan 29 to Feb 1, 2026. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and after worrying about some bad reviews, I found things weren’t as bad as people had described. The air conditioning worked perfectly. Our room was small, but we only needed somewhere to rest and sleep after exploring the city. Soundproofing could be better: I heard another guest snoring loudly, and distant sirens at night.

I intended to stay for two nights, but left the hotel in the morning and they didn’t refund the second night. The room had a deeply ingrained cigarette smell, as if tobacco had soaked into the furniture and walls, and there were burn marks on all the furniture. When I asked to switch rooms, staff only sprayed air freshener. It was too late to find another hotel, so I stayed one night and submitted a refund request for the other night. After 10 PM, they called my room, probably about that request. I kept waking up because it was hard to breathe, and smoke was also coming in from the neighboring room. When I was getting out of the shower in the morning, I saw a staff member opening my room door. That was the last straw. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, so I left immediately.
