City House Apartment - 38A Tran Cao Van

The owner's attitude was awful. I booked for five days, from 9/10 to 9/15, and landed in SG at 6pm after a late flight. I heard nothing about a room problem until I messaged to ask how to check in. Then the owner said they couldn't clean my room in time because the air conditioner needed fixing. They offered room 402 for the night and said I'd move to 202 the next day. That was fine with me. At 7am on 11am, I texted to ask when I should move. The owner said noon. I told him I had to go out and might not be back by then, and said the security guard could help take my suitcase downstairs if I wasn't back in time. He agreed. I finished work and returned at 10:30am to rest before moving my things at noon. When I got there, my belongings were under the reception desk. The guard told me room 202 hadn't been checked out yet because of a scheduling mistake. I was shocked. It turned out guests were still staying there, so the air conditioner wasn't the reason. I called the owner. She said she'd moved my things to clean the room because I'd said I might not be back in time, and called the guard's account nonsense. She then said there were no guests, and the air conditioner was broken and couldn't be fixed in time. Whatever the reason, you can't move a guest's things before checkout. That's kicking them out. If I wasn't there exactly at noon, she said, she should move me downstairs. The owner told me, “go back to 402 and stay. Tired,” then hung up. She spoke arrogantly, as if customers were beneath her and begging to stay. I texted that I was leaving, but she said she'd refund only three days. I was still charged for September 11 because she'd kept the room. She kicked me out, had my things moved before checkout, and still wanted to charge me for two days when I'd stayed only one. Like a thief and a crybaby. Too bad.

I paid for a room through Agoda, but when I got there, they said none were available, even though other guests were there. They messaged me that the room had a drainage problem, but that message came early in the morning, while check-in was supposed to be at noon. This is a scam!
