The building feels like a little forest in the city, and there’s a pool right out front when you arrive. It’s easy to walk to lots of places nearby. Our room was clean and spacious, and the price felt like great value. Such a cool place!

There are good food choices nearby and the location is pretty good. The landscaped area around the pool is a nice place to sit in the afternoon, though I didn’t find the pool itself worth mentioning. The soundproofing was awful. You could hear someone watching TV in the middle of the night, and it was impossible to sleep well. You can guess what else carries through the walls when couples get active. Plumbing was bad too. On the ground floor, the toilet had a strange smell and kept getting water draining down from the upper floor. It flooded twice, and we asked for help. We requested a room change at check-in and were told the hotel was full. We got the same answer over the next two days, even while seeing people check in and out. The air freshener was the only change, with no improvement to the drainage or smell. The phone line, G202, didn’t work either, so we couldn’t call for help. Clearly not worth the money.

We were there from January 30 to February 3, 2026. The interior is stylish, and the courtyard and pool are beautiful, though the water was very cold. Our first-floor room, next to reception, was a disaster. My husband and I didn’t sleep on three of the four nights, even with earplugs. The bathroom constantly smelled of sewage, and we saw cockroaches now and then. Sound travelled everywhere: the windows faced the pool and had no seals, so closing them made no difference. The front door had gaps all around it too. At 6 a.m., when staff arrived and started getting ready and preparing for cleaning, we could hear almost everything. The walls between rooms might as well not have been there. We could hear every conversation as if we were in the same room. For all the pretty surroundings, there were far more downsides than positives.

The receptionist gave us a warm welcome, and the front garden with its plunge pool was beautiful. Our room was clean and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage, a balcony, and a kitchenette. The bed was comfortable and clean. The only downside was the Americans next door having a full-on argument in the middle of the night. The soundproofing could definitely be better.
