The service was really friendly and the hot shower was good, though there was no free water. I was ready to give four stars, but around 6 a.m. they started playing music really loudly. After I got angry with them, they switched it to a channel without music. I could sleep, though I could still hear it. That would have earned zero stars, but they apologized sincerely, and I think they may have forgotten they had guests.
The biggest plus was the English-speaking manager. He was extremely helpful with everything, including getting around the city and finding me a kettle. Hot water lasted longer than five minutes, unlike at other hotels, and the Wi-Fi was fast enough. There's also a nearby street with lots of tasty, inexpensive restaurants. The downside was the staff noise at night, in the morning, and during the afternoon. I'm not sure they sleep at all. The room had very few outlets, and although there was a refrigerator, there was nowhere to plug it in.
The room was really, really dirty, and the bathroom was horrible. It hadn't been cleaned, there were mosquitoes, and loud music played all night. I couldn't sleep.
Good value.
The staff were awful.
