Express by M Village Hoang Sa

The room was unusually well designed, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. The area was quiet, and staying there was more than pleasant. The hotel sits just outside District I, but Grab fares are very reasonable for us Europeans, so that wasn't a problem. A TV might have been nice, though we didn't need one. The staff were helpful and friendly. Their English wasn't especially strong, but we managed everything with a translation app.

The lobby made a nice impression with its fresh lilies, and the staff were friendly. My deluxe room with terrace had a pleasant river view and felt spacious, with a work table. The toilet was on the small side. For the price, it was reasonable, and my stay at M Village Hoang Sa was okay overall.

I've been a loyal M Village customer for years, have Gold status, and booked four rooms for this trip. Gold members can get late checkout until 2 p.m., though I know it isn't always guaranteed. Usually staff confirm the time over Zalo in the morning, especially when they're full and need the room. This time, I got the usual automated message the day before but no specific notice that late checkout wouldn't be available. I thought I had until 2 p.m. At 12:15 p.m., I was in the lobby waiting for a Grab that was due in two minutes so I could have a quick lunch, planning to pack by 1:15. Then the receptionist suddenly said I absolutely had to leave by 1 p.m., while all my things were still in the rooms. Being told with only 45 minutes to spare created an unnecessary rush. If they needed the rooms early, they should have told us clearly that morning.

The staff were friendly, the rooms neat and clean, and they can store your luggage. There are laundry services too. Great hotel, loved it, and would recommend.
