Anne at reception is happy to sort out any problem, and the staff and cleaning team are lovely and helpful. The rooms are decent, with comfortable beds, but the furniture is basic: no bedside tables or lamps, and the fake leather sofa isn't comfortable. Bathrooms are clean, though tired and poorly maintained. It's easy to walk to bars and restaurants, but one side faces a VERY loud restaurant and the other a PICKLE court. Every night from 6pm to 10pm, the restaurant has awful live singers. The sound is so loud it feels like they're in the bedroom.

We stayed three nights. Our first room wasn't what we expected, but receptionist Ánh listened to our concerns, contacted management right away, and moved us to another room immediately. Five stars for the quick, professional response.

I spent a month in an Airbnb here and found the apartment comfortable and reasonably priced. The building is well maintained, with approximately 2 dozen apartments and 24 hour security at the front entrance. During the day, a friendly, helpful front desk lady is there, and the cleaning crew can tidy your room daily or whenever you want. From the left side of the building there's a spectacular view of Landmark 81, the largest building in Vietnam. A 15 minute walk takes you to a riverside walking path, where there's a quiet cafe for a drink or a meal.

It's easy to explore Thao Dien on foot, with convenience stores all around and plenty of good restaurants and street food. The apartment was a good price for the location, and check-in was easy. Staff and security were friendly. It's a bit older than the pictures suggest, but still tidy, and our room had a beautiful view of Landmarks from every area. Highly recommend.
