Hà Nội Hotel

We stayed there a year ago and had one trouble-free night. After checking out, we had a few hours before heading to the airport, so we left our luggage in their storage room. We spent the time at a shopping center, then went back for our bags when it was time to leave. Just before our taxi arrived, our little daughter threw up her lunch in it. Luckily, we were only two minutes away, and we paid the driver extra to have it cleaned. I asked reception for help and was shocked when they wouldn’t help with anything. They didn’t even offer an old towel or paper to clean up. They deserve a bad review.

A complete disappointment. My room looked nothing like the pictures and smelled, and the staff weren’t friendly. I had to pay in cash, $27, even though booking.com showed my invoice as $23. I also waited over 30 minutes for the airport pickup. Unless all you need is a bed and don’t care about anything else, I’d avoid this hotel. The reviews are mostly bots and lies.

We stayed two nights, but the room wasn't cleaned or restocked with towels and other basics for the second day. Checkout took more than half an hour while they inspected the room and seemed to be looking for something to charge us for. They said a towel had a makeup stain, though it looked like something that would wash out easily. The low price didn't make up for the poor service.

I left feeling unwelcome. The staff were rude and unfriendly, and seemed to look for a way to charge extra at every turn. They asked for another 60k VND for the supposedly free shuttle, and 60k VND for each extra hour before the 1 pm check-in time. The hotel was run-down and dirty in person, nothing like the photos.
