Icon Saigon - Lifestyle Design Hotel

Breakfast on the seventh floor ran from 6 to 10 AM and had plenty of variety. Our room was roomy and the central air conditioning kept it cool. We were leaving early for a flight, but the front desk was staffed around the clock, so checkout went smoothly. We stayed three nights and were impressed by the service and hospitality. The hotel is right in District 1, close to lots of tourist spots, and the stay exceeded what we expected.

The cappuccinos at breakfast were especially tasty, and the buffet had a nice mix of Vietnamese and international dishes. Our room was spotless and well equipped. Staff were attentive and helpful with things like our bags and reception. The hotel is central, with the main Saigon attractions easy to reach on foot. The one drawback was noise from the building next door at 4 AM each night.

We had a quiet stay, which mattered since noise in the middle of District 1 was one of our concerns. There was no outside noise, though we could hear doors closing and people talking in the foyer. The windows face an internal shared open space, and sound insulation isn't the best. Luckily, the other guests were quiet. The staff made a great impression throughout our two nights. They handled our luggage, brought things up to the room, and were just as helpful at breakfast. Everyone greeted us with a smile. The food selection was decent, with lots to choose from. The coffee guy made excellent Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, and the egg station was good too. The location is easy to find, and arranging Grab transport was simple. The B2 gym is small but has most of what you'd need, and the rooftop bar and pool are a nice extra. Our room wasn't large, but it worked well for our family of three, and they arranged the large bed we asked for. The room and bathroom were clean and modern. The shower controls took a little getting used to, then worked well, with good pressure and steady temperature. A very pleasant stay at ICON Saigon. We'd come back. Thanks to the whole crew for their professionalism and hospitality.

We'd booked two rooms for one night, though I thought I'd booked one room for two nights. They could have simply turned us away, but when they were full for the second night, they arranged a stay at their sister hotel. That place was full too, except for a really large, nice suite, which they gave us at no charge. Highly recommend.
