We checked in and left right away. Past the lobby, the place was a dump, with peeling wallpaper and water damage everywhere. The air conditioning quit after five minutes. Don't take the chance, you'll regret it.

They deliberately wouldn't let us see the room beforehand, and when we did see it, the quality was so poor that we decided not to go ahead with the booking. The staff were rude and aggressive, treating us like we were evil. After we spent ten minutes viewing the room, they burned the paper in front of us, called us bad luck, and cursed us, saying we would have an accident. Stay away, this could ruin your holiday.

We paid VND 700k for one night and had comfortable beds, air con, and hot water. The staff were very nice, though there was no kitchen or restaurant. It's good value for the price, and not having those facilities wasn't a problem at all on Le Van Sy. You can't expect four-star quality at that rate, but we enjoyed the stay in a great neighbourhood.

Room 310 was cleaner than 412, and the staff were friendly. The hotel could use an update. You get what you pay for.
