Lá Hotel Bình Tân

The hospitality was very good, the Wi-Fi reliable, and I liked the artwork on the walls. There were no pests, and the lobby dog is cute. The price was very cheap by Western standards, and with a discount I paid about $17 per night. I stayed briefly after starting a new job just a 10-minute walk away. The staff were very nice, especially the couple I think run the place. The woman speaks English and was helpful. Still, I struggled to sleep because the bed was so hard, and the AC didn’t cool enough for me. The green paint is really ugly, and the unit seemed dirty even after cleaning. I avoided the cups because they looked unwashed. Hot water lasted only a minute or two, the toilet clogged easily, and the bathroom smelled. La Hotel Binh Tan isn’t a terrible option. I’d stay again if they improved the room quality.

The little dog in the lobby is very sweet, and I recommend this hotel. Staff are excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the accommodations are above average for the price. It’s a very decent hotel in Q6 Saigon that seems to be trying hard, though it needs a bit more to be outstanding. The bed toppers bunch up at the edges and need shaking out at least once a week. Rooms could use a hair dryer and an iron for longer stays. Like many hotels post Covid, staff only clean rooms when asked. That may save money in the short term, but it’s hard on the rooms, and you can see it a little.
