LalaHouse Spring Apartment

We picked the balcony room, which got loads of sunlight, and there’s an elevator so you don’t have to haul bags upstairs. The room was nice and spacious, with a good bathroom, and check-in was easy. The host also responds quickly on WhatsApp. It’s down a small alley just past a photobooth, so you’re always squeezing by a group of girls. Not complaining. The mattress was thin. Wi-Fi was very weak and cell reception in the room wasn’t great. The toilet flush was weak too, and sometimes we had to use the bidet to fill the tank. The shower swung between hot and cold, with no comfortable middle temperature.

I had a very disappointing stay and left before my checkout date because the room was dirty and I couldn’t take a hot shower. It was damp, had no window, and didn’t look cleaned at all. Flies and mosquitoes came in from the restaurant opposite, and there was an unpleasant smell. There was no hot water. I reported it, but staff just told me to wait and didn’t fix anything. The photos on the platform looked completely different from the actual room. This was one of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in. The owner should have more self-respect before renting it out.

The location was good, but that’s the only upside. The hotel is inside a restaurant and the meat smell from it was so gross. I didn’t feel very safe because there’s no front desk, and it was hard to find. You have to go through the back of the restaurant, but when I first arrived lost, the workers were unhelpful and acted like they had no idea there was a hotel there. Wouldn’t stay here.

The host replies quickly and is always willing to help, and check-in was easy to do on my own. The apartments are clean, roomy, and cozy, with a stylish look. Great spot in the heart of District 1.
