Hotel Majestic Saigon

The location is perfect, with lots of cafes and shops close by. This was our second stay, and I’m glad we’ll be back for a third. Breakfast has a rich selection, and the staff gave us anniversary cookies twice, as the hotel celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2025. I also used the gym, which has the basic weights and machines you need. Portions at the Lounge and Restaurant are really huge. We’re especially grateful to the reception team, particularly Mr. Vo Thanh Khiet. The hotel arranged a taxi to the War Remnants Museum, about 2 km away, but the driver didn’t turn on the meter and charged us 6 000 000 VND, almost 230 USD, in cash. We were so surprised that we paid and left. When we asked reception for help afterward, they got our money back in less than an hour. I can’t remember a more responsible staff member. Thank you very much!

The view from the Majestic Hotel M bar and restaurant on the eighth floor is great, and the service was good until the food arrived. After that, nobody came back to check on us. Prices were reasonable for a hotel rooftop bar for the spring rolls and shrimp salad, but 200K ($8) for six slices of garlic bread and 500K for just three BBQ pork ribs felt ridiculously high. That’s about $7 a rib, expensive even in California, where I’m from. I’d come back for drinks and appetizers, but a full dinner is too costly.

What stands out is how the hotel honors its history while keeping everything to a high modern standard. Its century of operation gives the place a timeless elegance, and the tradition feels respected throughout. Service was warm, thoughtful, and attentive from start to finish. Every staff member helped me feel welcome and well cared for, making the stay personal. It’s rare to find that mix of excellent hospitality and a strong connection to the past. A true landmark, and my stay was both comfortable and meaningful.

Breakfast became a highlight thanks to Ngan, who looked after us so kindly each morning. Her attentive care and warm smile made the start of each day special, and she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. All the staff showed genuine warmth and care throughout our visit. The Majestic Hotel combines professionalism with heartfelt hospitality, and we felt welcomed, valued, and at home. We look forward to returning to this iconic hotel and making more memories.
