Minh Chau Hotel

The owner, Phu, is awesome and always gives me a good deal. It’s quiet and peaceful here, with plenty of food, stores, and coffee shops all within easy walking distance. Very convenient.

Ms Phu made this stay feel like home. Her hospitality was so warm and human, and she brought such good vibes and positivity. I’m glad we met, and I hope to return to Saigon sometime soon. My room was right at the top of the building, beside a beautiful garden where five cats live. It felt peaceful and calm, a strange contrast with Saigon’s bustle and zillions of bikes. The rooms and facilities were new, and everything was very clean. The location is good too. Saigon Railways Station is within walking distance, though there’s no pedestrian space in this area. There are places to eat and buy groceries on the street, and a Grab bike/cat taxi can get you downtown without major obstacles.

You have to leave your room key at reception each time you head out, and housekeeping needs to be requested there too. The hotel arranged a motorbike rental for 150k a day, delivered and picked up from the hotel, and parking is inside the gates. There’s an elevator. The room was very clean and had a TV, fridge, aircon, and fan. Shampoo, body wash, and a toothbrush were provided. A bath mat and hand towel would’ve been useful. I believe bottled water is available to buy at reception.

Clean and safe hotel, with friendly, helpful staff. There are lots of convenience and grocery stores nearby, and I’d recommend it for short stays.
