Ngoc Yen Hotel by Bay Luxury

The room felt cramped, despite what the earlier review said, and the service was awful. When I checked in, the towels and sheets were very dirty and hadn't been put in order. By checkout, everything was neatly arranged. The first photo shows me at check-in and the second at checkout. I've never had to write a review like this before, but this stay was awful.

The location is central, and the room was clean with friendly service. It wasn't very large and the furniture was a bit old, but the room and price were okay.

The room was clean and okay, though it wasn't fragrant. It was small, but surprisingly chilly in Saigon's sweltering heat, even with only the old fan running. I had the last room on the 3rd floor beside the baskets of towels and blankets, and was so annoyed I forgot its number. What really left me speechless was the hotel owner's son's attitude. In all my travels from north to south, this was the first time I'd seen a staff member turn a guest's doorknob for them. 🙂‍↕️ Hopefully the owner and his son learn from this. Whether the room is locked should be the guest's choice. They shouldn't assume they can do or say whatever they want just because the guest is a girl.

I wouldn't risk coming back at that price. The hotel was dirty, mosquitoes filled the room, and the sheets were old. The air conditioner sounded like a tractor, and the faucet leaked and wouldn't turn off.
