Paradise Cu Chi Hotel

The pool was supposed to be open 24/7, but when I went upstairs it was empty of water. The front desk initially said it should be open, then checked and came back to say it was closed for maintenance. There was also a problem with the room. My online booking said it included two double beds, but when I arrived I was told there was only one. At the price they charge, everything should be in good order, and staff should know what the hotel can actually provide.

It was a very nice stay. The hotel is new and nicely designed, and had everything we needed, from toothbrush and toothpaste to shampoo and even a razor. Having parking was handy since we had a car. There was a misunderstanding about breakfast when we checked in, but the manager sorted it out. Thank you, it was pleasant.

Breakfast is included, and there's a rooftop swimming pool. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Thanks, Mrs. Van, for the great service. If you're thinking of visiting Cu Chi, this hotel is great.

We stayed one night before heading to Moc Bai Border the next day. It cost about VND 708k through Agoda. The room and toilet were spacious, and everything was very clean and neat. We could get a Grab from HCM city for about VND 490k, and another to Moc Bai Border for about VND 450k. A few downsides: there were no facilities, and the hot shower wasn't working. The receptionist couldn't speak English, so we had to use Google Translate. He also insisted on keeping our passports until the next morning in case of a police spot check. We refused, and after discussing it for a while, he agreed to photocopy them instead. A useful place to stay before going to Moc Bai Border if you want to avoid HCM city morning traffic.
