RedDoorz @ Phan Anh Street

It took over an hour of messages among me, Reddoorz, and 868 Phat Loc Phat Hotel before they finally let me into the Triple Room, and the staff acted as if they were doing me a favor. I had booked that room on Agoda, and my confirmation clearly said Triple Room. At check-in, the receptionist/manager said their system showed Standard Room and insisted I contact Reddoorz, saying they would explain what I had done wrong. I hadn't booked the wrong room. The way they handled it and their attitude were deeply disappointing. I paid for the service and felt very frustrated. The hotel should review its staff training.

At about 11:30 PM, someone knocked, and when I didn't answer they used a spare key to open my door. I felt unsafe. What if I'd fallen asleep? Earlier, I arrived around 10:30 AM, just over an hour before check-in, and was told early entry would cost 80k VND for the first hour and 20k VND for the second. I accepted. The receptionist was unfriendly at check-in, and the toilet exhaust fan was extremely noisy. At other hotels I've stayed in, they'd let me check in early if the room was ready, with an extra fee only if I stayed past checkout.

The staff were awful and acted confrontationally toward customers.

The room was clean, and the staff were enthusiastic.
