SAZI AMILA Nguyen Hue HOTEL - Free Banh Mi

The location will depend on what you’re looking for. There are loads of good places to eat and shop during the day, but at night you're right in the middle of the girly bars. I booked a standard room and found it comfortable and good value. The service was even better. Jade and Jason went above and beyond whenever I had a question or a small issue, and even when I was just passing by to say hi.

The worst stay I've had. The place is run down, right by the road and close to a lot of sketchy bars, so there was no peace with all the noise. Don't book here. They took my key to clean the room and apparently had no spare. When I came back at night, the front desk was empty and the door was locked. I called the number on the door and every other number I could find, and sent messages, but nobody answered. I spent hours locked outside until I contacted the main hotel chain and got a response. After I was finally let in, they still couldn't find my key, so I had to stay in another room until someone came to the desk in the morning. I missed all my meetings, my phone was dying, and the whole thing was traumatic. They even tried to blame me.

The price is good, and you can walk to lots of places from here. I liked the local feel and all the street food and stalls in the alley next door. Bui Vien wasn't for me. The hostess bars are hard to miss, but definitely ignore them. The Banh Mi shop in the lobby makes the best Banh Mi in town, in my opinion. I'd come back just for that place. It needs its own Google pin.

Jade at reception was so helpful and even helped me pay for my train ticket online. The room was clean, and the Vietnamese sandwiches at breakfast were really tasty. A very nice stay.
