Sunny Lumiere Riverside Luxury Residence

The neighborhood made this a great base: two small grocery stores and a gourmet market are a two-minute walk away, with Starbucks, other coffee shops, and good restaurants nearby. Most places are walkable, and others are about a five-minute Grab ride away. The building feels secure, with guards at every entrance, and its lobby is beautiful. We spent two months at Lumiere Riverside and had a great time. The units differ, so it's worth checking for upgraded furniture and appliances. Ours was a good size for a family of four, with up to three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Hot water and strong water pressure were reliable. The kitchen had plenty of storage and room for cooking utensils. There are no water filters in the building, so you'll need to order a water jug service, delivered to your unit. The views are fantastic, especially the dramatic sunsets from the river-facing side at the back. The large pool can be busy with tourists and expats, but there's still space for everyone. Outdoor grills and tables are available for barbecues. The gym is well equipped, with weights, bikes, and treadmills. We highly recommend the building, and found the other tenants and guests to be top notch.

We moved into Lumiere last July because it was advertised as pet friendly, with dogs allowed in any lift and no restrictions. That was one of the main reasons we rented a small three-bedroom unit for $2,000 a month. Lately, management has made things increasingly difficult and sent us unfriendly warnings about our Toy Poodle. She's harmless, well behaved, and loved by the building staff. One resident, the lady in the picture, reported us simply because they don't like dogs. If you have a dog, beware: this is no longer the place to live.

A total mess. Management is terrible and unsupportive, and can't seem to fix anything. They still owe us the community room fee after almost two months and are ignoring our complaints. Motorbike parking is unmanaged too, so people block each other and park in the spaces reserved for people with disabilities.
