A good place to stay with family or on your own. The facilities and infrastructure are excellent, with a wide range for kids and older people. Security staff are approachable and reliable.

I checked into the Antonia Hotel at 9:30 PM on May 30th, after returning to Vietnam. A friend came to visit and needed help getting upstairs from the receptionist in lobby A. The receptionist and a man in a black shirt holding a cigarette demanded a 500,000 VND tip, claiming it was standard procedure. Then, when my friend left at 3 AM, she was stopped again, and the same receptionist demanded 1,500,000 VND before giving her ID back. What the hell is going on in this country? I've only been here for 14 years, and everything feels ridiculous. It's been over six months since I came back, and I'm still shocked by this country. A hellish experience.

The room hospitality was good, and the owner was a very kind woman. It's a condominium, so each unit has a different owner. My concern is the security guard: he doesn't help when I'm having trouble and doesn't understand my questions. In this globalized age, he still doesn't understand English. I'm grateful to the owner and would just like the security guards' service improved.
