A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "The Nguyens Cafe Dct by RedDoorz" is located in Ho Chi Minh City. This hotel is located minutes away from the city center. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Tan Dinh Catholic Church, Ho Chi Minh City Book Street and Independence Palace.

The Nguyens Guesthouse has moved a few houses down the street. The new rooms are small, but well laid out, with plenty of cleverly designed storage, great beds, a fridge, and a kettle. The central air conditioning and double-glazed windows help keep the room warm and block out noise. It's a lively part of Q1, with the Pink Church bus stop for routes 3, 31, and 36 about 50 meters away, and Tan Dinh market about 150 meters away. (January 2024)
The cafe is just good and reliable, and there's an interesting catholic church nearby. For Bitcoin exchange, you may find a better rate near Cathedral at Italiani's pizza place. The trader there set a price about 25% above the best rate on LocalBitcoins, so for me it wasn't worth the hassle. The ATM is a better option, though SMS validation can be problematic and the phone number input is followed by spam.
I had a room reserved, but when I arrived there wasn't one for me because the room was broken. The admin hadn't told me beforehand. It wasted my time. Sorry to leave a review like this, but I wouldn't risk coming here. Better to find somewhere else.
A very nice hotel on a quiet street, clean and well located. The owner is kind, friendly, and helpful.
I came because other reviews mentioned a Bitcoin ATM, but it isn't there anymore.
