Urban Lodge Hotel Hostel

The location was handy, the decor was nice, and breakfast was included. The front desk staff also gave us useful transport advice. There’s no elevator, and the music stayed loud into the morning. We had no water, hot or cold, in the shower or sink when we first arrived. After we told reception, hot water came back about an hour later, but there was still no cold water. We mentioned it again before checking out, and they insisted we didn’t know how to use the tap to adjust the temperature.

Hanh was the highlight of our stay. She was kind and helpful, gave us great suggestions, and made a delicious breakfast, especially the pancakes. The tours she recommended were really good too. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. You will hear some evening noise because the hotel is right in the middle of everything, but it’s a great base for getting around and exploring the city.

Urban Lodge Hotel made for a really lovely stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The staff welcomed me warmly and were attentive throughout, making sure things went smoothly and that I was comfortable. My room was modern, spotless, and well cared for, with a very comfortable bed, effective AC, and a clean bathroom with strong water pressure. I also liked the personal touches. Breakfast was fresh, satisfying, and offered a good mix of local and Western choices, with food kept well stocked. The hotel is right in the center of Distrist 1, just around the corner from Buu Vien. Bars, cafés, restaurants, markets, and major sights are all easy to reach on foot, but the hotel itself still felt calm and relaxing. I’d happily stay there again.

The rooms are okay, the service is really good, the location is great, and the price is on the cheap side. At first the owner seemed snobbish, though she got somewhat friendlier later. If you want staff who are friendlier, you might want to look for another place nearby.
