White Lotus Hotel Saigon

The room was spacious and the location was great, but the staff were the best part. They were polite, friendly, and kind, and always went out of their way to help. A special mention to the older bellman, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, and Ms. Tina from housekeeping. I loved my stay. Kudos to everyone.

Maybe the staff were friendlier before, but when I stayed, they all seemed cold and robotic. The doorman was the one person who smiled. Breakfast was disappointing, with very little choice, so I went to a nearby restaurant to eat again every day lol. I booked based on the reviews, and mmmmmnnnnh, maybe you'll have a wonderful experience if you're lucky.

The main draw here is the location, along with the value and friendly service. Henry and Phillip at the door were super sweet, and Lana at the front desk was always ready to help. The other staff were great too, greeting guests and offering assistance, though I didn't get their names. It's a former high-end hotel that's showing its age, much as you'd expect from a three-star place. The rooms are dated but very clean, and breakfast is basic but does the job.

Right in the city center, the location is excellent and makes getting around easy. The rooms, though, are very small and poorly ventilated. Some have no windows, while others have fake windows looking onto an internal air shaft, leaving them dark and stuffy. The cleanliness didn't meet an acceptable standard, and breakfast was very poor in both quality and selection. The location is the hotel's main advantage, but the rooms, hygiene, and breakfast need serious improvement.
