The soundproofing was awful, and the staff made the checkout morning worse. Checkout was at 12 PM, but from 11:30 they knocked on my door every ten minutes. I opened it at 12 AM to unpack after all that knocking. An elderly woman saw I was still in the room, barged in to change the sheets and clean, and was incredibly rude. I’d put my food and trash in the bin, but she still grumbled. Is that really the service you get when you pay? It was awful, and I’m never coming back.

There’s a busy market and shopping area nearby. The room was clean, and the fingerprint access felt secure.

Booking through Agoda first seemed like a good idea, but reading the Maps reviews after following the link left me confused. Still, I think this is a good booking. The room is spacious, with a separate bedroom. It’s old, but clean, and has an open feel that’s much better than the new homestays. 8.5/10

I’ve been here a month, and to be fair, the location is central and the price is reasonable.
