Zazz Urban Ho Chi Minh Hotel

The bed was really comfortable, and I felt safe and secure. The staff were friendly too. But we only found out when we arrived that a lot of the amenities were closed during our stay. Our room felt small, there wasn’t much of a view, and the photos gave me a different impression of what to expect. Still, it wasn’t a bad experience.

We’ve been here for three weeks, and the photos give a pretty lived-in sense of the room’s size and layout. The pool is nice, and I’ve had it to myself every time, though there are cameras, so keep that in mind. The location works well for District 5 food: everything we wanted to eat or drink was walkable, An Dong Market is just to the west, and there’s a convenience store a short walk south plus a laundry and sundries shop north. Staff are fantastic and help with nearly every request. Rooms are small, but manageable for the price and location. My main letdown is the view. The rooftop bar has great downtown views, but its sign says it’s closed indefinitely, and the view from our room is only so-so. I’d give it 4.5 if I could; the views and ongoing closure of the best one bring it down a little. Still, I’d recommend it if you’re coming to District 5 for the cuisine.

Lovely staff, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It’s a very good hotel for a reasonable price. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The security guards deserve a raise. They take their work seriously while staying welcoming and kind. The staff were great, and the service went beyond what we expected. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and really nice too. Amazing hotel.
