ZEN Building

I’ve rented this place twice, and the AC failed on both stays. On the first visit it broke while I was asleep; on the second, it blew no cold air at all and the heat was unbearable. Building management, please get all the air conditioners repaired.

U is heaven. Agoda gives it 8.2*, while it’s 2.8* here, which made me uneasy, but I figured staying there would be easy. I booked through Agoda, then the security guard said he didn’t know and told me to wait. After waiting a while, I started to feel something was off. When they came to hand over the key and ask for money, I asked to see the room first. Suddenly they said there were no rooms available. That’s no way to do honest business. Don’t let anyone stay here.

I was lucky I decided not to check in, even though I’d booked seven nights through Agoda. There was no parking, and the only person there was a security guard who seemed not to care about customers and told me to sort it out myself. My room key wouldn’t open the door, and reaching the elevator meant going through a parking garage tunnel that smelled of rat droppings and felt unsanitary. The building looked abandoned and unstable. It was cheap, but felt truly unsafe. I don’t understand why Agoda would allow service like this.

The quiet neighborhood and convenient transport links make it easy to get around District 7 from ZEN Building at 15 Hoang Quoc Viet, Phu My Ward, District 7. The rooms, though, are somewhat old and not cleaned thoroughly. The interior needs better upkeep and hygiene to feel more comfortable, and the worn furniture could use an upgrade. If room quality isn’t a big priority for you, it could still be a decent option. I hope they improve the place.
