It’s a family-run place in rural Vietnam, and I like being somewhere quieter, with less traffic and pollution. The sound of rain, children, and trees moving in the breeze was nice, and the reception staff had good manners. Tours to Cuc Phuong National Park and MUA caves can pick up from here.

I stayed in the dorm, and it wasn’t a good stay for me. The host was welcoming when I arrived at 7:30 a.m., but charged me extra for arriving early. I also found it hard to communicate because he didn’t speak English. The shower is beside the family kitchen, and the shared spot for brushing your teeth is nearby too. He charged other travelers for the bus, about 120 more than I paid in town. The place isn’t next to a river, but beside a kind of water hole, and it’s far from everywhere. Maybe having a private room and a bike would make it work better, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We got good advice from the very friendly staff about things to do in the area. The room was big and clean, with a large window, and both breakfast and coffee were good. It’s a great place outside the city.

The rooms are spacious and lovely, with lots of natural light and a view of Ninh Binh’s famous mountain landscape. The hotel is nicely located, and the service and staff were great. 10/10, I’d recommend it.
