The hotel felt new, with high ceilings and a really spacious room. The pool courtyard was clean, nicely lit, and had soft music. For the price range, it was definitely the nicest hotel we stayed at on our Vietnam trip. We didn’t take marks off for it, since it isn’t the hotel’s fault, but Tam Coc is overrun with tourists and tourist traps. Next time we’ll stay in Ninh Binh proper.

The staff made us feel welcome from the start. They were always smiling, kind, professional, and helpful with our requests, and gave us good recommendations for the area. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, and the hotel had a warm, pleasant atmosphere. The pool was clean and a great place to cool down after a day out. The location is right in the heart of Tam Coc, close enough to walk to restaurants, cafés, boat tours, and everything else, while still feeling calm and relaxing. We had an amazing stay and highly recommend it for families, couples, or anyone wanting a comfortable, friendly place in Tam Coc!
I especially liked the man at the coffee, smoothie, and drinks counter. The service was friendly and helpful, and we ordered his cold, refreshing smoothies every day. The room was clean and nice, and the location is great, with the lake, laundry places, and lots of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was okay, though there are plenty of other food options nearby. We had a poolside room, which was pleasant for the first couple of days, but the area got loud over the weekend when several families with children arrived. Toys, clothes, and strollers were left around the pool, and kids could be noisy in the water. One evening, after I messaged reception on Whatsapp, the hotel helped quiet the room next door. I appreciated that. We only got one hotel key, which was inconvenient at times. The grounds are beautiful, with all the fruit trees, and I enjoyed the first couple of days. I might recommend this hotel more to families than couples, and would probably avoid rooms near the pool because noise depends on the other guests.
We liked the hotel and the area so much that we stayed a fourth night. It’s very central but quiet, with a big, immaculate room, comfortable bed, quiet AC, minibar, kettle, and a nice balcony area. Breakfast had lots of choice and was good quality, and the pool was a great oasis after a sweaty day cycling. Toni and Marco at reception made the stay special. They were incredibly friendly, always happy to chat, and helped with bike rental, directions, and onward travel. The one downside was inconsiderate guests talking loudly on balconies late at night. The hotel should have quiet hours from 11 to 7am. Thanks for a great stay, we’d love to return!
The location is excellent, with a river across the street and plenty of restaurants and massage places nearby in a very walkable area. The breakfast buffet was a highlight, especially the omelette and pho stations. The pool area is nice, and the rooms are comfortable. A few things could be better: sauna use costs extra, and solo guests are charged the two-person rate. An inside room has essentially no real windows if you don’t book a garden or pool view. Wi-Fi was very unreliable, especially at night, and barely worked after 10 PM.
