Tam Coc Wonderland Bungalow

We loved riding the hotel’s push bikes into town on both days, and the breakfast had plenty of food. Our family bungalow was a great place to stay. They welcomed us with drinks, fruit, and hot cinnamon tea, and the complimentary foot bath was a lovely extra. There wasn’t a fridge in the room, but they kindly let us keep some drinks in the main one. We really enjoyed our time here.

We slept really well here. It’s within a short walk of sights, restaurants, and transport, while still being quiet. The room was spotless, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and the whole place had a cozy feel. The host made us feel welcome right away. They clearly care about the guests, and everyone on staff was cheerful and ready to help with whatever we needed. We were very happy with our choice and would come back when we’re in the area. You can pick your breakfast from a menu the day before, and there’s plenty of it, so keep that in mind when ordering. We also got bottled water and fresh fruit in the room each day, and could use the free foot bath between 6pm and 9pm. Bikes were available to borrow at no cost. The landlord and his crew gave excellent service, including a glass of cinnamon tea whenever we returned. The hotel is conveniently close to the centre but still quiet, and our room was very clean. We especially liked the bamboo style. Great value for money.

The bed was large and comfortable, and the location is beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was generous and decent, though it wasn’t clear whether we were meant to order or would be brought a standard meal. The breakfast staff member was friendly. I only stayed one night, so perhaps I didn’t see the usual service, but I can’t agree with many of the other reviews. The place seemed dirty to me, with dead mosquitoes on the bed net and grime on the aircon remote. I didn’t feel welcome, and there was no large towel, just four very small hand towels. I also didn’t get the tea or foot and leg rub mentioned by other guests. At checkout, one staff member was quite rude because they hadn’t communicated with the colleague who had already taken my key. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. Sorry.
