We rented bicycles and scooters from the homestay, which made it easy to get around, and the ride into town was gorgeous. Breakfast was always delicious and came out quickly. The owner was so kind and helped with everything we needed. The views are absolutely gorgeous, and it was peaceful being surrounded by nature. We even got to play with his new puppies, which was a real treat.

You can get a motorbike or bicycle right at the homestay, and the owners are very kind. We got by communicating with Google Translate. It’s a quiet spot with beautiful mountains all around and no crowds. The view is stunning, and the tourist sites are nearby, about 2 km from the Trang An boat rides ticket office.

I had a really bad experience trying to rent a scooter here. It was in poor, dangerous condition, with barely working brakes and joke helmets, and the price was higher than other rental places: 150 000 plus 50 000 for fuel, versus 100 000 elsewhere. After 24 hours I returned it with half a tank left. I asked the rental guy if I could come back the next day and use the fuel I’d paid for. I also asked them to check the scooter because its engine warning light was on. The following day, a different guy who didn’t know about my request told me to use the same scooter, even though they hadn’t checked the issue I reported. He was literally ready to put me in danger to get another 150 000. Then he demanded “evidence” that I’d returned it half full, even though his friend had been there and seen it the day before. I’ve never seen a place like this.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I have to say we were disappointed. Agoga offered us a lake view, and we didn’t get one. There was construction at the hotel throughout our stay, so it wasn’t as peaceful as we expected. The view was pretty, sure, but you can find the same or a similar one all over Trang an. I asked for vegetarian breakfast every day, using the word chay, but they served meals with sausage or pate. I explained to the owner through Google Translate what not to put in my food, then ended up buying breakfast elsewhere. The motorbike rate was 200k a day, which I learned at checkout. They also wanted the key back at night and kept the bikes locked up, so you had to find someone and ask for one. I’m just disappointed.
