Hoi An Town Of Viet House Homestay

I came from Thailand and picked this hotel because it’s so close to the Ancient Town. It’s right by the road, but the soundproofing is good and my room was surprisingly quiet. The room was huge and spotless, and the shower had great pressure. The owners were the best part, really sweet, fluent in English, and always around for a chat. They helped me arrange rides and book basket boats, and with anything else I needed. A comfortable, quiet place to properly relax in Hoi An.

As a solo traveler, I felt safe here and ended up extending my stay. The hosts know the area well and helped me figure out what to do and how to get good tour prices. The location also feels well placed when heavy rain could put the river at risk of flooding. I had a transportation mishap on the way from Hoi an to Hanoi: the bus operator took me to the wrong place. The hosts coordinated by phone to make sure I got to the bus and reached my destination. ❤️

The owners took excellent care of us, and the dog made each day brighter by greeting us so happily. The guesthouse is clean, well looked after, and in a great location. Still, with my allergies and very sensitive senses, I can’t recommend staying here. There’s a lot of indoor humidity, as in many places in Vietnam. I struggled to breathe at night and needed my asthma medication. My partner had no symptoms, but also found the dampness uncomfortable.

We really enjoyed our stay. The host couple were charming and very helpful, spoke English well, and were always ready to suggest good places at low prices. The rooms are spacious, and the little courtyard has balconies draped in plants. It’s close to the old quarter but stays really quiet.
