Rural Scence Villa

The owners had changed just a week before our stay. We didn’t get the room we booked and were put in a cheaper one that was extremely damp and smelled strongly. My girlfriend had an asthma attack and tried to sleep outside, but they refused to move us to another room. The website also gave inaccurate information about amenities: bicycles were listed as free, but we were charged and told that “we had chosen the paid bicycles.” The attitude was friendly at first, then changed completely when complaints and money came up. I’ve traveled extensively, and this was one of the most uncomfortable stays I’ve had.

The bathroom setup was unsettling: the toilet window faced the pool, so people outside could see the whole bathroom. I’d booked a second-floor room with a balcony and bathtub, but was put on the ground floor without either, and the room didn’t match the photos on the hotel profile. It was very dirty, with mold on the bedsheets and pillows as well as in the room. When I asked to switch rooms, the staff treated me badly. At night, a man I assume was friends with the owners slept on the reception couch, came in very late, used the shared toilet noisily, and talked on the phone. Between him and the mold, it was impossible to sleep. Funny that they call this a 3-star hotel, LOL :D Stay here only if mold isn’t a problem for you.

I booked one room and was given a moldy one instead. The bedsheets and pillows were moldy too, and since I’m allergic, I spent two miserable days there before checking out. I couldn’t breathe or sleep in the room, and I cried for hours. This was my first hotel in Vietnam, and it was a really bad start. They told me the owners had changed. The old ones may have been great, but these ones don’t seem to care about people, just the money. The website photos feel like a total scam.

There are great restaurants in either direction, and the old town is about 10 minutes away. The rooms are spacious, with big balconies. Fantastic place, I’d highly recommend staying here.
