Under The Coconut Tree Hoi An Homestay

Luna and the staff are wonderful, and the community has a real sense of belonging. The people working there have been around for years and everything runs smoothly. My room was cleaned each morning, breakfast was included at a nearby place, and marts and restaurants were an easy walk away. The beach is close too, with a free bad for homestay guests. There’s also a nearby market with great fruit at local prices, though it opens early, so you’ll have to make an effort to get up. It’s more than worth it. Honestly, one of the best experiences ever. This place feels like paradise, and I can’t wait to return. Luna & staff, see you again soon 💖

The garden was lush and the atmosphere relaxed, and we liked being close to the beach and having free breakfast. We were relieved to have booked a private room, though. The mixed dorm was dark, damp, and very cramped. Our own room looked nice, with a mosquito net and good bedding, but there were glass shards on the bathroom floor when we arrived. Staff said they’d clean them after we reported it, but we found more broken glass later. There was also a reservation mix-up, and the host demanded extra payment on arrival. Booking.com told us we didn’t have to pay more. We can’t tell whether it was a scam or an honest mistake, though we’d rather assume it was a mix-up. She never apologized, and it wasn’t a language issue because her English was very good. We’ve stayed in lots of hostels in Vietnam and hadn’t run into these problems before.

One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in Vietnam so far. The staff were amazing and helpful, and the place had a beautiful, laid-back feel. It’s near the beach, and the free breakfast was really delicious. We had a private room, though the dorms looked nice too. Thanks again, I’d absolutely recommend it!

The blankets ran a bit too warm, but I loved this hostel more than anywhere else I’ve stayed in Vietnam so far. It’s a simple place, close to nature, with fresh air coming in, and you need to be okay with some sand. The staff were amazing and ready to help with anything. The atmosphere was calm and respectful, with a nice mix of ages and a social crowd who were happy to hang out and have fun together.
