The hostel is in a handy spot and costs very little. It’s not especially social, though I found it easy enough to meet other travellers by chatting with them. The staff were a real bright spot: always smiling, friendly, and quick to help over Whatsapp with transfers, tours, questions, or recommendations. Thanks so much for that. The rooms were much darker and less appealing than the photos, with no windows, old bed frames, and mould in several places, even on a pillow. The bathroom was small but fairly clean, and shampoo and body soap were provided. After two nights in the girls dorm, I had lots of bed bug bites. I was surprised not to see this mentioned in earlier reviews when I booked, so I’m sharing it as a heads up. I’d hesitate to come back after that.

Breakfast was yummy, and it was nice to have fresh towels after every shower and reliable hot water. The location worked fine for us since the tour picked us up right from the accommodation. The private double room had no windows and smelled a little damp, though we were only there to sleep and it had been raining for a while. The hospitality made a big difference. Daniel, Lisa, Katherine & Hue were all so welcoming and nothing felt like a problem. Daniel even learned to make me a cuppa to make me happy. A+ service. I hope his travel goals work out, and that he gets to see some Kangaroos one day, mate 😉❤️ Tracy NZ/Aussie

The hostel was so comfortable and clean, and the location was perfect. I spent five nights here and had to make myself leave so I could see other places too. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to all of you for making my stay feel special, and especially Daniel ♥️

The bed was really comfortable, and the hostel stayed quiet at night. It’s also well placed. Food was tasty and inexpensive, with soap and towels included, plus somewhere secure to leave your things. Every employee was so kind. Daniel and Lisa are absolute sweethearts. I’d definitely recommend staying here :)

I was able to use the facilities, including the shower, even after checking out, which was handy. My room and the bathroom were clean, the bed was comfy and had curtains, and there was a hot shower and free towels. Nothing to complain about :) It’s a nice hostel in a good area, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Daniel and Lisa were both supportive and kind. Lisa also pointed me to a fantastic lunch spot for trying local food.
