Anan Homestay Hue

Huy was great at keeping us informed and was really helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. We were in a quiet alley, with shops and restaurants nearby and the riverside walk just moments away.

We’ve stayed in more than 30 hotels around South East Asia, and this place was a real pleasure. We came away feeling rested. It was peaceful, the bed was so comfortable, and we slept better than we had in ages. The room was spotless, and the air con felt clean, fresh, and properly cool. It’s a converted home down a quiet soi road, though you’re right among things after a one-minute walk. You can easily walk to cafes for coffee or places to eat, even if you’ve got a bike. The owner is a lovely man and speaks great English. We dropped in without a booking and were relaxing in our room ten minutes later. There’s secure indoor bike parking by the entrance, plus a fully equipped shared kitchen where you can eat or make a cuppa. There’s also a free filtered water machine. I think there are two or three rooms on each level. Our room had a small fridge, a fan, and a good-sized TV. Clean, quiet, and really functional. I’d recommend it.

We came across this place by chance and were glad we did. The building is modern, beautifully maintained, and immaculately clean. It’s in a quiet spot, yet only a five-minute walk from the Walking Street, with loads of restaurants, cafes, and bars along the way. There was indoor motorbike parking, and the kitchen had free filtered water. I’d stay here again on my next trip to Hue city. Thanks to Huy, the owner, for such a good place to stay.

For a cheap stay, the host is great and there isn’t much to complain about at this price. Just don’t expect Netflix. Lots of cafes are right behind the homestay, and most places are around a 15-minute walk away.
