Ancient Hue Garden Houses Hotel

The gym being closed mattered to us, and we weren’t told before check-in. If we’d known, we wouldn’t have booked here. That may not be a deciding factor for everyone, but it was for us. Otherwise, this would’ve been a five-star stay. I’d read lots of feedback beforehand and could see they’d acted on all or most of it. The resort was pretty and well looked after, and you could feel how much care they put into improving. The cocktails were divine, and the blonde? barista’s service was great too.

My room, “Marguerite Duras,” was like a dream: spacious, new, spotless, bright, quiet, and beautifully decorated. We were warmly welcomed, and the breakfast was delicious and served very well. The setting is stunning, with so much care given to the charm and details. I also loved the bar beside the second swimming pool, with its lovely atmosphere and tasteful decor. Congratulations to the whole team for all their hard work and dedication.

The breakfast service was good, and the setting was beautiful, but the food itself didn’t meet the standard of the hotel. The hotel is a beautiful gem, though, with courteous, pleasant service and very spacious, well-equipped rooms. It’s a lovely fit if you want to avoid the bustle and touristy feel of the city center. The busy tourist area is about a ten-minute drive away, around four dollars by a local Uber. Five stars for this place.

Our stay at Ancient Hue was faultless. The room was lovely, the food was delicious, and every staff member was friendly, accommodating, and went out of their way to make us feel special. Nhung Nguyen deserves a special mention. She made our anniversary unforgettable by arranging a surprise, beautifully decorated cake, flowers, and room. I can’t recommend this place enough!
