Golden Star Hotel

The video uploaded here was taken at 11am, and that’s part of why I can’t recommend this place. The address on Google Maps is not the hotel’s actual location. Expedia uses Google Maps too, so it took us about 45 minutes to find the place. The correct location is about 0.3 miles away. We were given a different room from the one I booked. It had a bricked up window, leaving it completely dark all day and night. The bed was concrete hard, the toilet was badly cleaned, with pubic hair and stains, and there was no tissue, so I had to ask reception for some. The TV wouldn’t turn on at all, making the room feel like a prison cell. I asked to change rooms, but the request was refused quite rudely. They also said they couldn’t replace the faulty TV because they had none, despite three empty rooms on the same floor. I was in room 207. At 0700 the next day, staff were shouting loudly outside the room and opened the door without warning twice while I was inside. There were no do not disturb signs anywhere. I can’t express how bad this place was. I’m disgusted and will never come back, or even walk past it. Avoid this place at all costs. Save your money and go somewhere else.
