Tam Tinh Vien is a place we hope to return to. We spent four nights there in late January 2026, during our three-month trip through Vietnam, and wished we could do more for the children. Thúy’s stories about them were heartbreaking. Jean, the French owner, made a different hot Vietnamese breakfast each morning, alongside continental options like coffee, bread, butter, honey, and jam. We loved the people, the accommodation, and the surroundings. The proceeds support the orphanage. We used the bikes to explore Hue for four full days and ate at Bà Dõ three times. Very sincerely, we hope to be back soon. BC

Jean and his wife care for children and give them a top education, which was a wonderful part of our stay. Jean was always available, and his knowledge of Vietnam is astonishing. We could have listened to his stories all day. The room was perfect, with quality that was amazing for what we paid. It may have been our best experience as travellers. We’re so glad we chose this place, and only wish we’d stayed longer.

A little outside Hue, but it was easy to get into town by Grab or on one of the bikes they kindly provide. The setting is a jewel, surrounded by greenery beside a small, peaceful river. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a room near Hue.

We’d happily come back to Tam Tinh Vien Homestay and stay longer next time. The peaceful riverside place has everything you need, and the kids are so nice. Jean took time to show us around and explain how the homestay supports the many local children he and Thuy have adopted over the years. They’re amazing people. Breakfast included a delicious Bún Bò Huế'. We had a great stay, and I highly recommend it.

Bikes were there for rides into the city or around the surrounding area, and breakfast was delicious every day, with something different each morning. The owners at Tam Tinh Vien are such kind, lovely people. Rooms are simple, comfortable, and have what you need. We had an amazing stay, thank you so much. I can’t recommend it enough!
