Under the Sun Homestay

The hosts were friendly and ready to help with anything, and the room seemed recently renovated and in great shape. The AC was strong, and all the facilities worked well. The location is hard to beat for nightlife and restaurants, a short walk from the main walking street and about half an hour on foot from the historic sights. With the glowing reviews and such a low price, I figured there must be a catch. There wasn’t. Our stay was perfect, a 10/10, and we’d recommend it without hesitation.

The room was large, clean, nice, and practically brand new, with a massive, very comfortable bed. The owners were cheerful, exceptionally kind, and helpful, and breakfast was included. It’s tucked into a small alley where cars can’t pass, so it’s very quiet apart from the occasional scooter. We had booked New World Hotel just opposite, but they placed us in the homestay run by the same owners. It turned out to be great, and there was nothing we didn’t like.

What made Under The Sun special was the owner. She was so genuine and helpful without ever being pushy, and made us feel at home. She helped arrange our ride from Hue to Hoi An, and the laundry service was cheap, fast, and perfectly done. The new motorbikes for rent were cheap too. The room was brand new and fully renovated, with AC, a smart TV, and the best shower ever, with hot water working perfectly. The alley was peaceful, but most activities and restaurants were within walking distance. So far, this has been our favorite place to stay in Vietnam. I recommend it 100%.

The owners were the best part. They answered all our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. I honestly felt at home here, and if I could, I’d rate it 1000/10. The place exceeded my expectations, with a fresh renovation, A/C, a smart TV, a hot and cold water system in the room, and a large bed.
