The outdoor setting is charming, but that was the only thing I liked. The rooms feel old and worn, the beds are uncomfortable, and nothing seems to work properly. There was no effort to keep other guests from being loud.

The staff were cheerful and genuinely helpful, and the room had strong Wi-Fi, soft bedding, and all the amenities I needed. It was also quiet enough for a comfortable night’s sleep. The clean, attractive homestay has a calm feel as soon as you walk into the lobby, with a soothing scent in the air. For what it costs, I got more than I expected and would happily stay again.

After we’d already been staying there for a full week, they called in the middle of the day to tell us to move to a homestay because a tour group had booked our room. They hadn’t asked us first, just told us what was happening. It felt like they had no respect for their guests.

There are a few mosquitoes in the evening, but insect killers are provided, so it wasn’t a worry. The home itself is lovely, with a huge garden, and the service is excellent.
