The way they handled our complaint was awful. They messed up our clothes in the laundry, and when we tried to speak with them and get the PA involved, they took off and wouldn't pay. They were even defiant about it. Everyone seems to be complaining. What kind of service is that? I'd tell people to stay away from this homestay.

I was upset from the minute I got there, and apparently this has happened to other people too. I'd be careful booking here. I reserved a room a month ahead and kept contacting the owner, including messaging 2-3 days before the trip, but never got any warning. On arrival I waited 30 minutes for the owner, who then said they'd forgotten to record our booking and had no room for us. When I asked why they hadn't canceled with later guests, they made several excuses, including that the other guests were a bigger group than ours. How is it our fault that we traveled in a smaller group? I've never been this frustrated booking a room. I'm really disappointed. Terrible.

I was a bit uneasy when I saw the 3-star rating, but everything was fine once I arrived. The rooms were clean, the owner was lovely, and the place is close to restaurants and markets. It's also right by the port for trips to the small island.

The balcony view is lovely, and check-in and check-out were easy. The homestay owner is easygoing, too. For this price, it's really good, especially with the night market right there.
