Linh Soi Homestay - Hostel

Thain and her family are wonderful. I came for a few days and ended up staying 11, enjoying every second. The location is beautiful and well placed for restaurants and village life. The room is wide, with windows on each wooden wall, so it gets natural light and a breeze. There are plenty of shared toilets, so you don’t have to worry about waiting in line, and the showers have hot water. You can refill your bottle with drinking water. The cafe feels cozy and pastoral, set over a bamboo fish pond. Thain makes a great breakfast and likes to create dishes from the heart. I’m vegetarian, so she made vegetarian food for me. There are also two cute puppies who’ll happily play with you as much as you like. The family makes you feel at home and welcome, and you can see how local people live here. One of the best homestays I’ve been to!

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely family-run place. Their cafe is just across the way, with a nice spot to relax and take in the views. Breakfast was good too.

The rooms have amazing views over the rice fields and mountains. We arrived late as a small group without a booking, and the host was lovely and very accommodating.

A quiet zen spot in the rainy season, when we loved how peaceful it was. The little house on stilts is gorgeous, simple, and clean, with stunning views. The people are friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious. It was easy to settle into the much slower pace of life. I could almost stay forever.
