Bai Lu Resort

We were invited to look through the brochures and choose from the travel packages on offer. Bai Lu beach was presented as a romantic option for couples, with private rooms looking right onto the beach, upscale restaurants, and quiet nights. For families, they said they could arrange a suitable package and help with the booking. They also mentioned deluxe villas near an international-standard, 18-hole golf course for business travelers looking to unwind after work. There was a currency exchange for Vietnamese dong, and agents were available to help sign people up. The pitch ended with a wish for guests to have a great trip.

The beach can be pretty quiet, and there's a huge open area where groups can do activities freely. The entrance fee is 50,000d per person. I didn't like the swimming pool, though. It costs 45,000d for a child and 65,000b for an adult.

A clean, acceptable room and friendly, helpful staff made this a relaxing place. It's good for families or couples looking for some quiet time. The hotel has a bar and restaurant, though local Vietnamese people tend to eat at the nearby seafood restaurants. Breakfast doesn't have many choices. I'd come back next year.

We came across the resort during a bike ride, parked, and had a look around. I can't speak to the rooms since we didn't stay there, but the accommodation looked nice from outside the villas, and the beachside location is great. The pool area needed repairs, though, and the toilets were dirty and had no toilet paper. After checking the price on our way out, I felt it was too high for the work that needs doing.
