For £8 a night (240,000VND), the location was great and the bed was firm but comfortable. The room was basic and could have been cleaner, with no good view to expect. Cotton sheets and towels were supplied, along with air conditioning, a kettle, and a refrigerator. I booked through AirBnB for seven nights.

We booked at the last minute during Luna new year because the price and location suited us, so the place being dirtier than I wanted wasn't a big surprise. The trouble started after a long day on the boat, when reception said we'd be charged for coffee stains on the bedding unless we removed them ourselves. We expected them to wash out, and figured we'd pay a third of the quoted amount at a laundry if they didn't. When we went to our room, a man was already inside lifting our things and shouting at us in Vietnamese. I assume he was the manager, but he never introduced himself. He pointed and yelled for about ten minutes before leaving. As two signal girls travelling, we found it intimidating. We hand-washed the mark and it came out, but they still tried to charge us for stains and blamed us for marks already on the mattress protector. It felt like they'd charge us for anything, and even the cheap price wasn't worth it. I'd avoid this place.

The room was OK for the price, but noise was the problem. A music nightclub across the way was loud until midnight, and I could still hear it with every window closed. Other Russian guests slammed the door day and night, almost like kicking it, and woke my little boy at 2 am on several nights. It felt so stupid. I'd give the place only 1.5 stars.

You’re right by the beach, and the staff are friendly. The room was decent, with what a backpacker needs, plus really good egg coffee at breakfast.
