Nam Anh Hotel

The owner was great, friendly, and welcoming. It's a lovely, homey place to stay at a fair price, and the location is strategic, just 30 seconds from the beach. I spent a good amount of time here and would recommend it 101 percent. Worth it. My Textile, My Adventure. (oekoen was here)

The restaurant is a great little spot attached to the hotel. They made me vegetarian food that wasn't on the menu, and the people were honest, friendly, and clearly wanted us to enjoy our meal. The manager offered us free shots, then sat with us and suggested local sights and the best beaches and bike rides. Come support the local community, not the invasive Chinese restaurants and hotels. These are good people.

Worst motorbike rental experience I've had in all of Southeast Asia. The receptionist claimed she couldn't understand English when there was a problem, and lied, changing her story three times in 20 minutes. The helmet was unsafe. It unclipped in the wind three times, and I know how to fasten one. They also cheated on the fuel level. The bikes were in bad shape, with the oil indicator in the red. I called reception to ask if I should come back and sort it out. She said yes, so I wasted time and fuel returning. Then she said she hadn't understood and blamed me, so they wouldn't pay anything. The boss said the red indicator meant nothing and the oil was fine. But with the warning already on, how could I know there was still oil? I hope the hotel service is better, for their sake. Luckily, I didn't sleep there, and I never will.
